Hi, I am Rob, and I'm from , . I wanted to share my silly story of how I got a movie onto my iPod. Ya I know your thinking, what's the big deal right? It's only a movie your saying. Well at the time I was headed out to a flight going to New York to visit my brother during spring break at Columbia. Since I can't stand in flight movies, (why: who knows, I'd rather have my own player in my hands), I decided that I wanted to bring along my current favorite movie which by now you know is Casino Royale.

Now to the fun part if you can call it that. How the #$^#@ was I going to get that movie onto my iPod Touch? Vista surely can't handle that function with it's built in Media Player, and the bundled Buring software that came with it can't do it either.

So off to big G$(Google) I went in hopes there is actually something that can do this and on the quick because I was leaving in an hour. After some initial research I ran across a review site on DVD to iPod Converters which recommended: Cucusoft DVD iPod Video Converter Suite. Scanning through the features it seemed to do what I was after plus a few things I hadn't thought of such as being able to convert any video I already have onto my iPod. So it sounded great, being able to Convert my DVD's and my existing Videos to my iPod and retain DVD quality picture and audio.

I download it here and did a quick install. The main screen, which is below, is layed out rather simply and easy to understand. Pick either Convert a DVD or Convert a Video.

The Flight That Changed My Life

By now you should be convinced that this Cucusoft DVD to iPod Suite software is the way to go to convert your DVD's and Videos to your iPod. But I want to tell a quick story about what happened on that flight to New York. After the Captain said it was Ok to use our electronic devices, I popped out my iPod and started to play Casino Royal with my silencer headphones, peanuts, and a Coke in a small plastic cup. About 20 minutes into the movie a dude walks by and says in a fine accent, "You know I was in that movie." My initial reaction before looking up was, "No way Daniel Craig's on this flight!" Turns out this guy was an extra in the Texas Hold em scenes. He told me a few stories about what when on behind the scenes and his few minutes of conversation with Daniel Craig himself. Of which he mentioned that Craig talked about feeling lucky to play a character that Sean Connery also played.

You may be thinking this is made up but it's really the main reason for my putting this blog together. What an incredible story for me to tell and if it can help others that are wanting to get their DVD's onto their iPod then it will have completed it's quest.

Step 2: Run the Software

Like I mentinoned above, the software is really easy to understand. Simply choose the drive with the movie and choose where to save it (my iPod). That's it!

All it took was less than 30 minutes for me to put a DVD movie onto my iPod. And the best part is that the quality is excellent and that I will be able to do this with any movie in the future. I know you will like this software as much as I do.
